Newly Engaged?

Between “I will” and “I do”…

Do you:

- feel like your mind is going a million miles an hour?

- realize you have so many ideas but don’t have a clue where to begin?

- find yourself somewhere between
“I’m so unbelievably happy” and I’m so unbelievably scared”?

If so, it sounds to me like you recently got engaged – and the good news is, you’re perfectly normal!! In my experience with countless brides, below is the best advice no one will ever give you.

1. Immediately (right now – get your keys – I’m waiting…) go shopping for your gown – that’s the fun part anyway! (don’t buy one today – just try them on for the fun of it and enjoy the day)

Here are a couple links to check out for a quick start:

Bliss Boutique
Sophia’s Bridal and Tux

2. Schedule a couple cake tastings. This is, well, icing on the cake!! (don’t count a single calorie, we’ll work on that later!)

Again, a couple links to get you started:

Heavenly Sweets Cakes
Your Cake Connection

3. Get online and look at all the cool wedding photography. Bookmark zillions of pictures you love (don’t define what you do/don’t like – roll with your inspiration!  We’ll define your style soon enough!)

Start with these, but make Google your friend:

Memories By Michelle
S.B. Childs

4. Round out the “fun tour” with a visit to a couple of “fun-to-dream-about” sites: (don’t stress pennies right now – just develop enough excitement and passion to propel you forward!)

Antique Limo of Indy
Card Ink

Now then, don’t you feel better?  I thought so!  The truth is – there will be plenty of time to do the practical, necessary parts of planning a wedding.

But for today, right now –
get lost in the joy,
the anticipation and
pure excitement of what’s just happened…

You’re getting married! OMG!!!
